I had a few days away with my son last week in Stroud, Gloucestershire, where I grew up. Caught up with family and wallowed in Roman history. Chedworth Roman Villa and Bath summoned us, both of which are still glorious, of course. We also ran a toastie competition throughout the week; Chedworth’s chicken & stuffing won hands down, and The Ram Inn, Woodchester, came in second (brie & cranberry on granary for him, cheddar & onion on sourdough for me – not the most adventurous, but I was tired!) Our digs had a curiously short door curtain and over-long window curtains. The offspring was sorely tempted to taunt passers-by with his feet. Apologies if you were expecting stunning photos of the incredible Cotswold countryside.

Anyway, no writing done; pursuing the Romans is exhausting. Time for a stock-take as my monkey mind has been ALL over the place, flitting between too many centuries to concentrate.
C’mon then, Ducks. Most importantly Nina Gander Duck or Panda is on Libraro for preview. Thumbs/comments/feedback greatly appreciated! Click here to see. Sorry if I keep banging on about it. Also, thank you 😘
I’ve received my editorial assessment report on Slate Heart (exciting!) and am actioning that now. I think I’ll also put it on Libraro for preview when it’s ready.
Actually, shall we have graphics? Everyone loves graphics!

There we go. Ducks rustled. Short and sweet. Just like the door curtain 😃
