A Small Libraro Update

As per my ‘About’ page, my contemporary women’s fiction novel is entered in the 2026 Libraro Prize (if you hadn’t caught me banging on about it elsewhere).

The Reader Engagement phase ends at midnight on 20th March and it’s then all in the hands of the publishing industry professionals – those pesky judges. I am very grateful to everyone who ‘liked’, commented and followed, all very much appreciated 😃 Nina’s stats:

There were thousands of entries, some brilliant stories (and some not so …😮). There are plenty of writing peeps with much higher engagement figures than me, but I’m delighted with the comments I’ve received. I’m treating it as a great exercise in getting writing ready to show the world, and learning to assess and action constructive criticism, if indeed action is deemed necessary. I believe you have to be very careful with peer input, both positive and negative, especially if your work has been through professional editorial and beta reader assessment. All views are valid, all views are subjective.

I’m not sure, but I think ‘Nina’ will disappear from Libraro during the judging phase, but I’ll get the sample chapters back up there as soon as she’s kicked out of judging gaol! (And I’ll replace that awful book cover mock-up that’s been sat there for a month!!)

In the meantime, ‘Slate Heart’ sample chapters will be available there for a bit of a read through soon🖤C’mon, Ed & Lowri!
