I have always wanted to write stories.
It’s bliss to have the space and time to give it a proper go. I finally wrote a novel I’d like to share. Its inspiration is a combination of my lifelong fascination with Wales, its people and the industrial revolution. It’s been a joy to research, which in turn has been a great excuse to acquire lots of fascinating books. I’ve also been fortunate enough to connect with some kind and generous people who know far more than me about the history of the people, places and organisations involved, for which I am eternally grateful.
In addition my contemporary women’s novel has been through the editing process and is entered in the 2026 Libraro Prize.
